Mr. Nillama is a highly regarded and skilled attorney with a wide range of experience and qualifications. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of San Carlos – School of Law and Governance, and he is currently the managing partner of MN Law.
Before joining MN Law, Mr. Nillama was a Junior Partner of Calderon Davide Trinidad Tolentino Law, where he practiced in criminal and civil litigation, corporate, labor, and commercial law for a year. He then joined with the Law Firm of Degoma Trinidad and Nillama as partner.
Mr. Nillama specializes in handling special projects principally in the areas of land registration, lot subdivision and/or consolidation, land use reclassification, zoning variance, foreshore lease, government contracts, and public-private partnerships, business licensing and franchising, contract drafting and negotiation, wills, and probate, settlement of the estate, and taxation. Mr. Nillama also handles cases in areas of labor and employment, family law, and criminal law.
Among Mr. Nillama’s significant cases and transactions are: 1) subdivision and/or consolidation of lots for various clients involved in real estate development; 2) criminal and civil litigations for collection of sum of money and damages representing a marine engine supply leader and shipbuilding company; 3) approval of variance for a property zoned for aquaculture use to be used for commercial and industrial purposes; 4) the successful negotiation of contracts of lease over several prime properties in Cebu owned by a Local Government Unit (LGU) representing real estate construction and development companies; and 5) negotiation of a public-private partnership with a LGU for the development of a 6-hectare prime property in Cebu representing one of the leading real estate development companies in the Philippines.
