Leana is a versatile and well-rounded lawyer, demonstrating her excellence by achieving Exemplary Performance in the February 2022 Bar Examinations with a passing rate exceeding 85%. She was officially admitted to the Philippine Bar in May 2022. Leana earned her Juris Doctor (Law) with a Thesis and a Minor in International Law Practice from the University of San Carlos School of Law. Her graduate thesis focused on environmental study in relation to climate change and navigation in international waters.
In addition to her legal achievements, Leana graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting from the same university. During high school, she received the commendation of Third Honorable Mention and was honored with three leadership awards for her outstanding academic performance and commendable leadership and management skills.
Leana’s professional background includes a role as a Court Decongestion Officer with the Regional Trial Court of Cebu City. In this capacity, she actively contributed to the drafting of court orders, decisions, and other legal processes.
